These years have been great. Running always has it's up's and down's, but nothing worth going for ever comes easy.  Since I last wrote, there have been a lot of changes- for the good.  Last year was my first year trail racing and I had a lot to learn...I still do. I feel like I have a better grip on the trail running. It is different from road racing, and def different from the track. It is to the point where i can not stand running laps around the track. I feel more primative on the trails. Like something out of The Last of The Mohicans or something.  anyways, last year, trail racing did not go as planned, I learned a lot from twisted ankles, running fast downhills on rocky terrain, etc.  It made me more determined to take it more serious, and make myself a better trail runner.  So far, races have been going well, winning and placeing well at good races. I took a shot at US Mountain Running Champs, but due to some back problems, i was unable to finish as well I wanted to. I am def looking foward for this summer, and all races to come. 

I always look foward to the summer. My wife and I own a dog sled touring company. After tours i'll head out on a trail run using the same course the dogs run on. I love it.  But def makes it easier to have dry trails.
